Повседневный распорядок в Прашанти Нилаям.
С самого открытия в 1950 году день в Прашанти Нилаям начинается со звучания колокола в молитвенном зале в 4:30 утра. В 4:45 утра в зале начинается пение Ом и продолжается около получаса, затем поётся Супрабхатам – утренняя молитва, произносимая в ранние часы, чтобы пробудить божественность внутри каждой души. Затем поются Ведические гимны, после которых следует Нагарсанкиртан – коллективное воспевание славы Бога с обходом по улицам ашрама.
Начиная с тех ранних дней, в ашраме по вечерам проводятся бхаджаны, т.е. совместное воспевание имени Бога, или выступления на духовные темы и культурные программы – всё направлено на поднятие тысяч искателей до наивысшего состояния божественного блаженства.

Молитвенный зал десятилетиями служил эпицентром божественной энергии. Песни о любви к Богу исполнялись здесь вплоть до 2007 года, создавая атмосферу безмятежности и благоговения. Баба Сам обычно присутствовал в это время в зале. Воспевания в ашраме посвящены не только Шри Сатья Саи Бабе или Его предыдущем воплощении как Ширди Саи Баба, они охватывают широчайший возможный круг различных проявлений Бога в веках; поются песни из традиций многих религий и на разных языках. Акцент делается на смысле и чувстве полной отдачи Господу. Они поются хором и в правильно выбранное время.
Саи Баба неоднократно говорил о громком воспевании хором Имени Бога как об акте служения другим. Он сравнивает наполненное энтузиазмом хлопанье в ладоши во время пения бхаджанов с хлопаньем в ладоши под деревом, на котором сидят вороны, чтобы испугать птиц и прогнать их прочь. Здесь вороны соответствуют негативным мыслям, от которых можно освободиться пением с пылом преданности и хлопаньем в ладоши.
Баба призывает каждого заниматься повторением Имени Господа. Каждое имя Бога, к которому обращается человек, является в Его глазах таким же хорошим и эффективным, как и любое другое имя Господа.

Daily Routine at Prashanti Nilayam
Ever since its inauguration in 1950, the day begins at Prashanti Nilayam with the ringing of the prayer hall bell at 4:30 a.m.
At 4:45 a.m., the singing of Om starts in the hall and continues for about half an hour, followed by Suprabhatam, the early morning prayer to awaken the divinity within us. Alongside, Vedic hymns are also chanted, followed by Nagar Sankirtan or the collective singing of God’s glory while walking along the streets of the ashram.
Since those early days, the ashram has an evening routine of bhajans or congregational singing of the Lord’s name or spiritual talks and cultural programmes – all centered on uplifting the thousands of seekers to higher states of divine bliss.

The prayer hall has served as the epicenter of divine energy for decades. Up until the year 2007, the songs of love for God were sung in the prayer hall creating an atmosphere of serene reverence. Baba Himself was generally present in the hall at such times. And these songs are not all about Sri Sathya Sai Baba or His previous incarnation as Sai Baba of Shirdi. They cover the widest possible range of the truths of the various manifestations of God through the ages and are drawn from multi-faith traditions and sung in different languages. Emphasis is on the meaning and the "emotion of surrender”. They are sung in unison and to the correct marking of time.
Sai Baba has often expounded on the loud singing of the Lord's Name in unison as an act of service to others. He has compared the enthusiastic clapping of the hands in time during bhajan singing to the clapping of hands under a crow-infested tree in order to frighten the birds away! The crows here refer to the negative thoughts that can be rid of with fervent singing and clapping.
Baba exhorts everyone to engage oneself in the repetition of the Name of the Lord. Any Name that appeals to the individual is, in His eyes, as good and effective as any other.
