Story behind photo - 178 – Sai Padhuga worship.
Sai Ram. Here we are seeing a photo of one of the boxes containing Silver Padhugas taken to Swami, for getting the Blessings.
Swami once told in a Public discourse, that, “Wherever Swami’s Padhugas are installed, I manifest myself.” Swami used to encourage Padhuga Poojas. There are tens of thousands of Padhugas in devotees’ homes, across the globe. When a pair of Padhuga is kept, proper Pooja should be performed, everyday to maintain the Divine vibrations (saannidhyam). Swami also suggested that if all Padhugas are brought to one place and Pooja offered together, then the Padhugas will get recharged with Divinity.
It was not easy to get Padhugas those days. First permission has to be obtained from Bhagavan to manufacture the silver Padhugas. And after that, all the Padhugas has to be taken to Swami and receive Divine Blessings. There are still ways to get Swami’s blessings for the newly made Padhugas too.
Do you remember, that Sri Rama’s Padhuga ruled over Ayodhya, when Lord was in exile? Similarly in Swami’s absence in his Physical Form, The Sai Padhugas, are ruling the world.
For Lord Shiva, we worship Shivalingam; For Goddess Durga we worship Meru; for Lord Vishnu, we worship Saligram. Likewise for Sai, we worship Sai Padhuga, with rituals like, Abhishekam, Archanam and other Poojas. I feel that we should revive the Pahuga Pooja festivals, in various parts of the world.
