SANI - RAHU CONJUNCTION - SEPTEMBER 17
Two of the great malefics, Sani and Rahu, are joining in the sky on September 17. This is thought to have a negative effect on persons born under certain birthstars, especially Swati, Chitra, Vishakha (Tula rasi), Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika (Mesha rasi), Purva Bhadra, Uttara Bhadra, and Revati (Meena rasi). These are for the stars in Tula, Mesha, and Meena Rasis. Sani and Rahu are currently in the star of Swati (Tula), and opposite Mesha rasi. Meena rasi is Asta Sani (8th position).
This may also stir up problems in world affairs, such involving America into the war in Syria. (The last conjunction was in 2003, at the beginning of the Iraq War, and the time before that ocurred at the time of the American Civil War). This is also a time to take caution in one's daily affairs, as conflicts or challenges may easily arise.
For protection of all individuals and the planet as a whole, the Temple is performing Sani - Rahu Havan on Saturday, September 14, 10:00 - 1:00 pm, followed by Sani Abhishekam at 1:00 pm.
Especially those born under these birthstars should take care over the next several weeks. A good way to appease the negative effects of Sani is to do charity for the poor or elderly. This includes giving food such as bread, black gram/beans, sesame seeds, rice to the hungry. Til (sesame) abhishekam over a Sani idol appeases Sani. One can also burn til lamps on one's alter, especially on Saturdays.
If you would like to sponsor this yagna (you need not be present to sponsor), please visit SANI - RAHU HAVAN AND ABHISHEKAM. Normal sponsorship for Abhishekam and Havan is $82. However, due to the importance of this conjunction, both are priced at $61. In addition, each participant will be given either a Rudrakasha Mala or Navaratna (nine gem) mala. (Indicate if you will not be able to attend or pick up the mala in person and we will mail it.)
